For those who love to cook, private cooking classes are available in the spring and fall with master chef, Hermann Groicher. Classes offered are for one to eight people.



   Hot & Cold Soup and Dessert - 1 Day

2 people: $450
3-8 people: $165 pp

Itinerary:
Morning- Depending on seasonal fresh produce our soup will be asparagus, artichoke, squash or a cream of shitake mushroom. Soup garnish for hot soup is a lemon shortbread. Will begin preparation for cold soup of fresh fruits and berries: apple-blueberry, rhubarb-strawberry or apricot-raspberry. Garnish for cold soup is a baked lime flavored pastry puff.

Noon- Lunch of freshly prepared hot soup, salad, bread and cheeses.

Afternoon- Finish cold soup and soup garnish.

4:00pm- Sit down for dessert and coffee



   Hot & Cold Sauces - 2 Days

2 people: $690
3-8 people: $290 pp

First Day Itinerary:
Morning- Basic stock preparation. Start of cold sauces: Mayonaise, Creme fraiche, Basic white sauce, Sauce Bechanielle

Noon- Lunch

Afternoon- Continue basic white sauce, Thermidor Sauce, Mornay sauce, Hollandaise Sauce. Finish stock.

4:00pm - Snack and glass of wine

Second Day Itinerary:
Morning- Sauce Espagnole. Continue on demi-glace, Madeira Sauce

Noon- Lunch

Afternoon- Finish white sauce, Caper Beure Blanc sauce. Cold sauces: Sauce Remoulade, Dill Sauce, Cold Curry Sauce, Chipolte Pepper Sauce.

4:00pm - Snack and glass of wine



   Snowshoeing and Chocolate Mousse

Snowshoeing and Chocolate Mousse is a winter week of cooking classes, snowshoeing, fine dining, mountain lodging and fun.

The Snowshoeing and Chocolate Mousse package includes lodging, cooking classes, guided snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park, fine dining, massage and hot tub relaxation. The week includes a fondue night with traditional Gruyere and Emmental cheese and a moonlight snowshoe outing that is followed up with dessert, hot-spiced wine and hot chocolate. The grand finale is having the students prepare a seven-course gourmet meal.
